Stable reconstructions for the analysis formulation of ℓp-minimization using redundant systems

چکیده
A common method to compute sparse solutions in compressed sensing is based on `minimization. In this paper we consider `-minimization for arbitrary 0 < p ≤ 1. More precisely, we prove stability estimates for solutions of the analysis formulation of the `minimization problem for 0 < p ≤ 1 from noisy measurements. Furthermore, our focus lies in arbitrary frames that are not necessarily tight or Parseval. We will investigate the role of the frame bounds and how they effect the sparsity as well as the number of measurements that are needed. Furthermore, we will distinguish between the minimization over frame coefficients and dual frame coefficients. Numerical experiments based on iterative reweighting are also presented that suggest the possible benefit of using `-minimization over `-minimization for sparse recovery for some applications.

Comparative analysis of profit between three dissimilar repairable redundant systems using supporting external device for operation
The importance in promoting, sustaining industries, manufacturing systems and economy through reliability measurement has become an area of interest. The profit of a system may be enhanced using highly reliable structural design of the system or subsystem of higher reliability. On improving the reliability and availability of a system, the production and associated profit will also increase. Re...
متن کاملPerformance evaluation of typical approximation algorithms for nonconvex ℓp-minimization in diffuse optical tomography.
The sparse estimation methods that utilize the ℓp-norm, with p being between 0 and 1, have shown better utility in providing optimal solutions to the inverse problem in diffuse optical tomography. These ℓp-norm-based regularizations make the optimization function nonconvex, and algorithms that implement ℓp-norm minimization utilize approximations to the original ℓp-norm function. In this work, ...
متن کاملPrediction of Structural Changes in Gas Hydrate for Methane and Ethane Mixture by Using Tangent Plane Distance Minimization
Abstract: Â In this study, the change in the crystalline structure of gas hydrate was predicted for ternary mixture of methane-ethane-water. For this purpose, the tangent plane distance (TPD) minimization method was used. First, the calculations were performed for the binary mixtures of methane-water and ethane-water as the gas and liquid phases. The results show that for a binary mixture of th...
متن کاملMTBF evaluation for 2-out-of-3 redundant repairable systems with common cause and cascade failures considering fuzzy rates for failures and repair: a case study of a centrifugal water pumping system
In many cases, redundant systems are beset by both independent and dependent failures. Ignoring dependent variables in MTBF evaluation of redundant systems hastens the occurrence of failure, causing it to take place before the expected time, hence decreasing safety and creating irreversible damages. Common cause failure (CCF) and cascading failure are two varieties of dependent failures, both l...
متن کاملSmoothed ℓp-ℓ2 solvers for signal denoising
The basis pursuit denoising refers to the solution of an 12 minimization formulation which is well known as an effective method for signal denoising. In this paper we investigate an p2 formulation with p ∈ (0, 1) for denoising. Based on an analysis of the discontinuity of the global minimizer of the p2 problem with respect to regularization parameter, we propose two smoothed p2 solvers for orth...
